Pastor Sean was born the first of two children in November of 1970. His younger years were spent working alongside his family in the church that his father and mother started after moving to the Rockville/Gaithersburg area from Annapolis MD in 1974. At the age of 15, Pastor Sean realized that God had a great plan for his life that would eventually lead him into pastoral ministry. After graduating from High School in 1989, He attended Texas Bible in Houston Texas and graduated in 1992 with a Bachelors in Theology. While attending college he met his wife and best friend Monique Martin and they were married November of 1993 after her graduation from Jackson collage of Ministries in Jackson Mississippi. They now have two wonderful children, Martin and Rayne.
Pastor Sean and Monique had their early years of ministry marked by evangelistic travel. Shortly after marriage, they traveled throughout the United States preaching and teaching in churches, youth camps, and training seminars. In 1995 Pastor Sean and Monique had the opportunity to travel and live in Guyana South America and assist missionary Danny and Lori Aber. Returning to the states, Pastor Sean joined the ministry team of Christian Life Center as the Ministry Coordinator. Pastor Sean and Monique had many doors of opportunity open and they continued to walk through them. Five trips to the Philippines, conferences in Belize, several trip back to Guyana allowed this ministry team to develop into what God needed for this present day. In 2003 Pastor Sean was voted in as the Executive Pastor of Christian Life Center and served in this role until 2016. In 2016 Pastor Ron Libby announced his intention to retire as Senior Pastor of Christian Life Center. In May of that year, Pastor Sean Libby was voted in as Senior Pastor, succeeding his father. "Passing of the Mantel" services were held in December 2016.
Pastor Sean completed his MA in Christian Leadership through the Apostolic School of Theology in 2015.Along with working on the pastoral team of Christian Life Center, Pastor Sean is a Chaplain for the Montgomery County Police Department of Maryland and a Federal Law Enforcement Agency, assisting and coming alongside the men and woman that protect our community and country. Pastor Sean’s ministry is marked by his passion for prayer, evangelism, and relevant Bible teaching and preaching. He is committed to God, to his family, and to building a brighter future for Christian Life Center, the community in which they serve, and for this generation and generations to come.
